Black Pool 15 Oct 2007

Just read RangerBri’s posts on Twitter about a possible eruption of Black Pool. Black Pool is that huge blue pool down close to the shore line that everyone ooh’s and ahh’s over. Not sure anyone has witnessed an eruption of it – but she writes, “Potential Black Pool Eruption: this AM rangers found several features empty of H20 & standing water on the boardwalk at edge of Black pool!” and “King Geyser is boiling up a storm in West Thumb Geyser Basin. I predict an eruption any day now!”

Cool. Now to see how soon I might be able to make it up there…I’ll be working to add in a West Thumb section soon as I’ve been working on all of my various comparison photos from there over the past few days.
