So many of the various thermal features have shapes in them – or at least I’m always seeing them. It’s sort of like watching for cloud shapes. Here are a few I’ve seen:

Blue Star Spring, from this angle, always reminds me of a manta ray or sting ray.

Aurum Geyser has a bat or maybe a bird – and an upside down bear.

From this angle, Firehole Spring looks to me exactly like a baby bison or maybe a baby lamb lying down with his feet tucked underneath him. The eye is even there.

And near Firehole Spring, there’s Surprise Pool that looks like a bear or maybe a mountain lion roaring.

Infant Geyser, while probably named for being a small geyser near Giantess, when the water level is just right, I see a baby wrapped in a blanket – that ledge just under the surface of the water being the face, and the tail of the blanket hanging down. Sort of as though someone was holding him and you were facing that person.

There’s also a lion in the sinter on Rocket Geyser, but this morning, I’m not finding that photo easily. Any others you’ve seen?
